Free Running/ Parkour

Le Parkour.

Ever heard of this phrase?

Translated, Free Running. Well at least I think so, from what I understand of it.

But it doesn't matter, just type in those words into the YouTube search engine. And you will be amazed.

Assassin's Creed. Gamers will understand this.... it's actually possible.

Hahahaha. I mean, I was aware of Free Running a long time ago, just didn't have a blog then. Now that I do, i want to bring free running mainstream here in Brunei. I mean, at least I've got a purpose now right? hahahha. But more seriously... or not. Whatever floats your boat, Free Running and Parkour(Yes, even though they mean the same thing, they are two different things, i'll elaborate later) is a serious serious sport. I mean, you're jumping off buildings for fuck's sake! How much more serious can you get?

It's one of those things you can't put into words trust me, just search up free running or parkour. You'll be amazed by some of the vids posted.

Oh, Parkour is the art of fleeing, as FAST as you possibly can. And its an art, just watch the videos, and free running, is when people do tricks off walls and while jumping off buildings and stuff. I really don't know much, but, read the comments people leave underneath the videos and they can go on about how different the free running and parkour is. And they go on about, Sebastian Foucan and David Belle, these are the guys who started Parkour, but Foucan branched out into free running.

Oh and these people have been featured in movies, Foucan in Casino Royale (In that sweet scene where he runs in the building and stuff) and Belle in Banilieue 13(District 13 for you and me, and yeah, it's in a building too) but them movies are awesome!

Her's to hoping that free running and parkour do become mainstream in Brunei!

Yeap, Le Parkour is pretty big in Urban Jungles such as Singapore, KL, I tried before, at 16 years of age when I was in Singapore, but brief - not extremist. I am physically training my self at the moment for June with the Parkour clan in Singapore.

Brunei used to have a Parkour clan in Bandar, and knew most of the members, who are now studying in Aussie etc and last I heard, they're still active.

Anyway, check out this post on my blog on Parkour.
